Depends on your information, you can find out your BMI at a site like this
http://www.myeatingdisorder.com/nutrition.asp
which tells you the number of calories your body should have, for example if it said 1600, then you would want to take that and divide it by 5ish and eat the leftover cals in a snack,so 300 per meal, and 100 snack etc. Just divide them up. For weight loss you would want to subtract 300-400 (but dont go under 1200 calories ever, thats the bottomline number) and go with that number, so it would 1200-1300 calories per day, making it about 240-260 a meal (5 meals) etc. Good luck! Hope this is what you were looking for.

You will have to figure out how many calories YOUR body needs. Everyone is different. Locate a website that can calculate your caloric intake. If your goal is weight loss, then subtract 250-300 calories from this number. This will be your new caloric intake. Next, you will divide this number by the amount of meals you wish to take in. You can play with the numbers. For instance, breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day. If you want to, you could keep your morning and daytime meals a bit larger than your evening meals. In the evening, you won't have the need for all the calories. Make sure to reach your caloric intake number every day, even if you must take in a good sized meal at night. This will not hurt you. It takes quite some time to get the hang of it.

The USDA considers a normal caloric intake to be about 2,000 calories. In general, however, this would be for a fairly large person - probably a 6-foot tall man.

The Jenny Craig diet that Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli used is a 1,200 calorie-a-day diet.

So, depending on your size, and where you want to take it, your total caloric intake for the day should be somewhere between 1,200 and 2,000 calories. Each meal will vary, of course, but the total should be within this range...You could divide these by 5 or 6, and try to make them all even, but my guess is that would be harder than it needs to be.

Try to keep the amounts of sugar, protein, etc., fairly balanced throughout the day. Part of the reason for eating more, smaller meals is to keep your blood sugar levels balanced...This helps in keeping your pancreas in check, and you'll feel less hungry throughout the day because of it.

If you want to lose weight, eat about 1800 (or a little less) calories a day. So divide that by the amount of meals and try to eat that many calories (or mix it around).

Try about 360 calories per meal.

do the math. If you need to take in 2,000 calories a day, divide that by the number of meals you want to eat.

Depending on the person, a good healthy diet would be about 1500 to 1800 calories a day total.
