illegals have not already been deported? I don't want any answers about how they are doing jobs that we don't want to do.

Phoenix..if what you say is true, then why put (it is now 5) of our border officers in jail for doing their jobs then? I don't buy the excuse that it is because we are too deep in debt from the war. There are too many people who would volunteer their time to watch the border(yes, I included) but it's like they want you to remember that if you come up against a drug lord you will go to prison and he will be pardoned if you try to keep him out. I just don't buy the war theory...sorry

There are also legal provisions for them crossing the border without proper documentation and that doesn't slow them down.

1. Democrats want to make them citizens so they can have millions more uneducated voters.

2. Some Republicans want them to stay so they can use cheap labor.

3. Most politicians have no spine.

It is all about the money in the Republican party. I am one so I know first hand.

Why? In the words most commonly used by old school union members 'cheap scab labor'.

Big business is making more profit - while paying less to workers. Driving down wages means more money for the higher ups. Ever see a CEO have to face any of the same things that the average worker has to face in the working world today - laid off and/or having to take pay cuts, pay more for health insurance, retirement packages totally slashed? Their pay goes up as more illegals come in - driving wages down along with the influx.

When big business is made to abide by the immigration laws - face serious fines (not talking slap on the wrist approach either) - THEN you will see what is the biggest draw for illegals being done away with and the numbers start to go in the direction they should be going - DOWN.

Till immigration laws are enforced equally upon all that are committing known crimes - there is no incentive to deport.

That is why it is important to keep on our gov. officials about enforcement - and if they don't vote that way - vote them OUT of office.

1. The South West had and always will have a huge Hispanic community - do the research
2. USA - needs cheap labor - since companies can't find Americans willing to work for wages that will allow us to compete with China and other nations - which is why US Companies moved out of the USA -
3. American promotes it's self as the great melting pot - and uses celebrations like St. Patricks Day & Cinco de Mayo - as if it was an American enterprise -
it's hypocritical that even states like Georgia & Colorado do this while clamping down on immigrants.
4. Both political parties need immigrant support - since America is a Nation of Immigrants - That's why the Queen of England is visting America today.

1) It would alianate Hispanic voters. No pol wants to commit political suicide.
2) There are so many we don't have the resources to to it without using the army. There are legal restrictions on that.

The illegals have not already been deported because of the incompetent of the government. They did not enforce the laws very well, in fact, I don't think they enforce at all.

I think it boils down to bureaucracy....too bad...too bad...

they are slowly deporting them. each state is doing it. i know it's not fast enough, but eventually we will get the illegals out. and then the legals can get in here and contribute their skilled services to America.

You have to find them and catch them in order to deport them.

With all our money going to Iraq, there is no funding for either.
