My boyfriend and I have been dating for around 3 months but we've been best friends for a year. I'm 20 and he is 24. I am a virgin and I want to wait for the guy I know I am going to marry. He isn't a virgin but he told me that he wants to wait for me. We are always kissing and hugging and he gets "excited" if we just kiss. Is this normal?? I feel bad if he can't get any relief, but he has never pressured me or anything. But is that normal for him to always get excited, even from a simple kiss or hug? Are all guys like this??

It's extremely normal...he must have great control and even greater respect for you. Thank Heaven for him.

Sweetie, let me be perfectly frank with you. If we guys can get "excited" while watching our favorite college football team win on a last-second field goal, we can dang sure get excited when we kiss a beautiful 20-year-old girl!

I am going through a little similar situation with my girlfriend. I am 38, she is 29. She wants us to hold off for a few months because she said she wants me to treat her differently than all the rest. When we talk on the phone, and she talks to me in her sweet, sexy voice, I get "excited" and that's not even physical contact.

Focus on this -- this guy, for a 24-year-old, is pretty special and unique to respect your wishes of waiting until marriage. There ain't too many of us left! I mean, I'm holding out for 2 months; this guy is holding out until marriage!

Keep kissing, keep snuggling, and the day he DOESN'T get "excited" from this, THEN you have to worry!!!

It is normal that he gets "excited" from kissing and hugging you. It means that he is attracted to you. I think that it is really cool that he doesn't pressure you. It sounds like you have a good guy there.

Don't feel badly that he "can't get relief." He is a grown man and can "take care" of those needs himself.

Of course. A cool breeze will turn a normal guy on. Kissing a hot chick will certainly do it for me. She can always find a way to "get me some relief" if you know what I mean...

Oh yeah. Can I get an amen for the "relief".

I'm afraid so, holding a girl in your arms, and kissing her, can
easily get a guy excited. Especially when he isn't having sex.
If your boyfriend, gets excited, it means he finds you sexy.
You could help him out, in other ways, and still remain a virgin. Either by hand or mouth, but that's a decision, you would have to think about.
It also depends on how soon, you plan to marry, if it's years or months away, he may just go looking somewhere else for satisfaction. There are many ladies, who don't care to wait for marriage to engage in sex.

Your not a guy, so you can't imagine. We get excited by physical contact very quickly, even if we have already decided not to take it to far. I'm sure he was serious about you waiting. Just don't test his integrity too much by being too much of a tease. Good luck to the two of you...
Regards, Siekuto.

I guess if you are touching and everything it is only natural that he gets excited. It is a compliment that you are doing a good job at whatever it is that you are doing. You shouldn't think that it is weird. We are programmed to think that once kissing starts, it leads to something more, usually, so he is going to get excited.

Oh my goodness yes! You could just talk about anything sexy with a guy and he gets "excited", let alone kissing, and hugging. It is completely normal.

It is normal for someone who has walked that path. Don't feel guilty about it. He decide to feel his oats with other females and that was HIS choice. Let him live with it. Be different in a special way for him. He will respect you for it. Be glad he's getting excited with you and not someone else. Don't tease him. Good Luck

yes for a young man this is normal. He just is very sexually attracted to you. Even the thought of getting close to you makes him excited.

When I was 24, I got "excited" when the wind blew! Yes, it is nature. Worry if he does not get excited.
