So, is that the same when you listen to music or read?

...uh... but your body still burns calories as you answer this question....

Calories are energy, and you always use energy, just in different levels.

So can you just answer my question?

What if you are thinking up music? (As in you are bored and you start remembering this song...) Would you burn more calories that way than if you get a CD or something?

listening to music boosts your calorie burn because you react internally to music and are more likely to move in some way while listening to it.

reading a book you use the same amount of calories as watching tv.
unless you start tapping your foot while you read...

Are you just sitting when listening, as you would with TV, or are you moving to the beat?
Activity increases metabolism. And the faster you move,...............

I would imagine. I do't know for sure, but in all cases your not performing a physical activity.
