it's ok to sleep in the nude unless you sleep with someone else in the room (other than a significant other) personally i agree with you it's much more comfy!

well there are many people that sleep in the nude. I think it is OK to do so. But remember you are a young women and your body clock is still playing up. so you never know when that time of the month may hit you. So keep a towel handy just in case. I have never been sleeping with anything on. only when I'm with a lover i put on some thing silky and sexy. as we girly boy's like to do this kind of thing. It may well be that when you get older and have a play mate you like to wear some thing sexy to bed as well. So in time you will find what you like best. and than there are times you just like to look sexy even just to please your self.

Is she sleeping in the same bed as you? How would she know if your nude or not? Have a robe by your bed and put it on if she comes in the room. (also that solves the pesky fire in the middle of the night scenario)
Nudity is NOT shameful. I have been sleeping nude since I was 15. My mother came in my room once and told me to get up because we had a dentist appointment to get to. She wasn't going to leave my room until I got up out of the bed, so I just got up and got dressed. She asked me why I was naked, I said because it is more comfortable. That was the end of that.

My question is to you that why you want to sleep nude ?
I think if you are only two persons (you and your mom) in the room then it should be OK.
Your mom might get unreasonable because she loves you and your private parts!

I don't understand does your mother come in your room, its up to you whether you sleep nude or in a pair of PJ's, unless your walking around the house with no clothes on, then that's a different story, you need to tell your mum to respect your privacy, because you respect hers.

me and my partner sleep in the nude, i dont see the problem.
in act i think when i lived at home both my parents slept nude, so i dont really see why there should be a problem, it is much mroe comfortable getting to sleep in the nude, except in winter the more padding the better.

I don't see how it is a big deal that you like to sleep in the nude. Maybe she was raised in a strict upbringing . What you do in the privacy of your own bedroom is your own business. Talk to her about it, and do not allow her hangups to become yours.

you're mother probably finds it inappropriate i guess..thats all. I think she is protecting u in some way and somehow maybe she is quite conservative too. Maybe she feels that u sleeping in nude is a sign that ur having sex with others already..that ur sexuality is opened up. She probably doesnt like this..

You should be able to sleep warning (or not warning) what will make you most comfortable and give you the soundest sleep. My caveat is that if your going to sleep in the buff, your sleeping area should be private, so as not to embarrass yourself or another family member.
