I went to undergrad in Boston, if you walk around Boston I saw the Irish flag there on a daily basis. Do you think we should tell them not the have the Irish flag hanging up?

For those of you who think I was born in Mexico I was not. My family has been in the United States since the 1900’s. My grandfather was a WWII Vet and my father is a Vietnam Vet. So I’m here to stay!

Good question, all Americans are descendants have some type of European culture - the Italians, Irish, Germans fly their flags within their homes & community hang-outs, but seem afraid to show pride in their ancesteral heritage these days - out of fear that it's un-American or they will be targeted by a group of Nazi's.
We Mexican-Americans will proudly wave both, as we know there will always be only (2 America's) North & South America - Check your Atlas!

The same reason people in Mexico get pissed when people go down there and wave the American flag. It's not Mexico. It's a federal law to not hang any other flag above the stars and stripes, yet in the recent march they were flying Mexico's flag above it and actually had the nerve to fly America's flag upside down beneath it!
I have fought and bled for this country. I have seen my friends get blown apart in front of my eyes. I have told parents their sons died in battle. It is a disgrace to allow the immigrants to do this.
If my unit had been at the march I can guarantee they wouldn't have gotten away with it.

Actually here in Texas, Mexico was the enemy awhile back. I know it happened a long time ago, but we have a U.S. flag and Texas has its flag, so why do we need to fly a flag from a different country.

I don't see anybody flying the Australian flag or the flag from the Turks and Cacos islands. I don't know, why don't we fly a different flag from a different country every day. Lets start with Luxembourg.

And just before cinco de mayo, why the heck do kids in Texas get a day out of school in commeration of the Mexicans throwing out the French? I'm sorry, I fail to see the connection.

Its fine is you want to wave a Mexican flag just as long as you wave an American flag higher. Its how it is suppose to be. Its called respect for this country. Most of the Illegal Mexicans don't have respect at all.

If you don't undertsand, Try moving to Southern California. or California all together.

I bet that if I wave the German flag down here in Texas, I will get killed or called a Nazi.

People just don't like it because of the immigration issues that are being discussed at this time. I just have a problem with it flying next to the U.S. flag.

Um, HELLO??? they should have allegience to the country that feeds them and provides new opportunity. If they love Mexico, then why don't they go back?? I don't want to see their crappy flag waving in protest to the fact that they don't get enough of what America has to offer.

I don't see Irish immigrants plundering our social services and bleeding this country's resources. So I don't so much mind the Irish. In fact, my ancestors are Irish Immigrants and paid their dues to this country and became proud american citizens

Because it is disrespectful to wave another country's flag while marching for rights in this one. I don't care which country the flag represents.

Waving flags is a declaration of allegiance. That's why a white flag is a sign of truce. So waving a Mexican flag is a declaration of allegiance to Mexico. But if you're going to wave THAT flag, WTF are you doing HERE??? Is this a military invasion? Why ELSE would anyone wave a foreign flag on American soil? So of course there will be questions!

I thought the big fuss was about how they were waving it, they were putting it ABOVE the American flag...it is an act of war to fly another countries flag ABOVE our flag in our own country..protocol says that you fly the American flag first then another countries under it if you are on American soil.
