this will help dry the blister up faster, i am sure it is the alch. in it...
Listerine... dip a q-tip in it and then hold on area for a few min. repeat every half hour as you are able. It won't stop the blister, but it will help it dry up faster and is quite soothing.

Apply ice and rubbing alcohol (with a Q-Tip). Also, try Lysol if you have some! But spray it on a Q-Tip and apply only to the affected area. Don't overdo any of these home remedies--be careful.

Good luck! I get cold sores too and they are horrible, not to mention unsightly and painful.

In the future, take Lysine (in the vitamin section)--it's an amino acid. I take 1 pill each day and it really, really helps prevent cold sores.

When I feel I am getting a cold sore I take acidophilus supplements (acidophilus is in yogurt and they add it to milk etc)and L Lysine supplements (its an amino acid) They are both over the counter and you can buy them at Walmart.

Not much. Looks like you're gonna have to "ride it out..." :(
