Source: I'm looking for vehicle magnets that say "I support the troops" OR "I support the war". When I discover one I approach the driver. (I make sure they have 18 to 30 year year old off spring) I say "Thank you for supporting the war. (Then at that point I get a big smile) I say "Please let me help you send your children into the Iraq war "SINCE" you support what Bush is doing. ( Note---at this point smile turns sour.....like the father is sucking lemons) Some turn mad as can be. ( But they support the war) Some tell me "I support the war as long as other people lose their family members". So why do people get mad at me? I'm just trying to help the war effort. What's wrong with many of these people who support the Iraq war?

Yes I take the magnets off the cars when they turn their backs on me. I now have 12 magnets. I don't want them to carry a lie on their car so I take them.

I'm very polite as I approach them.

Why be angry? I said I'm trying to help the military get more men/women.

If you don't support our troops feel free to stand infront of them!!!

I would be happy for the help in sending my husband to Iraq. Let me know your email addy and I will send you a list of what the soldiers need over there.

I am sure once these brave people have received your form of care packages they would love to thank you personally for your efforts so be sure to include your name and address so they can thank you in person once they return from Iraq.

You are spreading hate and fear to families that already have enough to deal with. I suggest you hide under your bed because one of these days one of those soldiers is going to return home and hear what you did to his parents. I would not want to be in your shoes.

I doubt the truth of your statement. I also find the sentiment behind it dishonorable and insulting. If you are "trying to help the military" then do as my sons have done enlist and serve in defending the Country that has given you so much. However I feel certain that you wish only harm to our Military and defame our Country. You are obviously ignorant about what we are fighting in Iraq and around the world. I recommend that you study some of the history of the conflict you might start in the 1850's with the Ottoman Empire's tax policy and move on from there.

Ignorance is curable stupidity is not which are you; merely Ignorant or incurably stupid?

Thank You for your answer: incurably stupid it is !

Sounds like your almost as bad as the dictator that we kicked out iraq. Sounds like if it was up to you, we wouldn't have a volunteer army, but one that has WHO YOU BELIEVE should be in. Instead of the VOLUNTEER army that we have now. believe what you will, the fact that people do support the soldiers does help their morale, even if a little.

BTW - do you at least leave them money for the magnets you STOLE from them?

That would be theft and--in some areas--they can legally shoot you.

As to the rest, most people understand that having troops in Iraq is an unfortunate necessity and that fulfilling that duty to society at large is a source of pride. You acting as an individual to try and push the issue is perceived as a threat to them and their family and rightfully earn any hostility you may receive.

I honestly am surprised that no one's called you on it and beaten you down over this.

Still, there's time for it later.

Parents do not send their children to the war. Every soldier in the US military volunteered to serve. I guess my question is how are "you" going to help send their children to war. 18 years old is not a child, just in the immature culture we live in we do not expect people to take responsibility for their own actions.

If you wish to help the military, why don't you join up? If you think the war is wrong why aren't you out organizing petitions and protest marches instead of messing with citizens and taking their things. I think you are lucky that no one has tossed your salad. Could this be because you only target people who aren't capable of retaliating?

Why do people get mad at you? Let's see, you go up to complete strangers and insult them and act like a jerk. That may be why.

What is going to be solved by this? Do you think your not so witty banter is going to suddenly make them see the light and change their minds? This is not public discouse, this is acting like a you know what for the sake of starting a confrontation--which is what is really ailing our system of government right now.

Look, there are plenty of people who don't support the war who make their case in a reasoned, respectful manner. I would think that one of them might say "Stop being on my side. You are making my side look stupid."

I think you're getting a thrill out of reposting this.

OK, I guess it's a fiction as posted above.

Troll.

I'm surprised you still haven't gotten punched in the nose. Do you run away when you're done being a jerk?

Just wondering.

In another dozen or so itterations, your little troll might even apear plausible to those who haven't seen it before.
