Do you want to start your search here in R & S? Can you at least pick some of the passages that expresses immorality. Maybe from there we will have some answers. Contradictions? It is the interpretations of different teachers that makes it contradictory but the book isn't. If ever, there are things that need changes as time passes because like everyone and everything in the world, God is not a static being but more of a dynamic becoming whereby we all go into the cycle of progressive development. We did not start our lives the way we were millions of years ago.

Hello, Walktolight:

If the Bible did not tell us how often we transgress, guess we would not know why we are in the condition we´re in today.
God is not unreasonable, but when he asks something, He expects obedience. The universe would not be safe by any other means.

No government gives its citizens which laws they choose to obey or transgress, however, as you read the Bible, you will see failure after failure.

But God has a few faithful. These are the one´´s you should pattern after. There is Abram, Job, Daniel, Isaiah, Malachi, John the Baptist, and let us not forget Jesus.

He is our pattern, and you will never go wrong if you only read the red print in your Bible. We may safely discard anything that is not found in His teachings.

One more thing, Walktolight, one reason the Bible seems so confusing is because we trust in preachers and chrismatic authors to interpret it for us. Yet, the Bible says If anyone lack wisdom, let him ask of God.

Yes, and there is one part of the Bible you can not understand. It tells you twice the words are closed until the end of the days. When you break the code, it will remove a lot of errors and tell you exactly how Christians have made a bigger mess of things than the Jews during their dispensation. It´s posted at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm Yes, it´s important--that is why it was sealed--and it will reorient you to reality.

Blessings, and peace, One-Way

All you need is the Holy Spirit and a Bible. I have looked up a ton of what people call contradictions and they just don't add up to anything. There are some numbers that are not right. Is that what you are talking about?

Everything recoded in the Bible is not acceptable behavior by God.

The Bible never claims to be perfect. There is not contradictions that are not explainable. Seek the guidance from people who understands the Bible better than you. Have your questions answered.

Jesus is the way. You do not have to believe everything in the Bible. Can you accept John 3:16, that is the minimum.

Seek the truth. I have found the truth in Jesus Christ who is my Lord and Savior. : )

he's testing you - see if you can reject reason and bend your mind enough so that there are no contradictions. the number of dead is different? here it's only the men, there the women and children two. the name is different? here it's the real name, there the title. with enough mental gymnastics nothing ever contradicts anything.

And the violence? You don't like it, find a more peaceful god. there are thousands to choose from.

it's ok to be confused. these are not just stories in the bible, they actually happened and they're examples of gods love for man, but also of his great power and authority. if not for these stories you would not know what was right or wrong. does this help? god bless...

God put that in there because that is what happened. It was written for our benefit as a warning of what we could fall into if we do not stay cautious.
