I have had my cat for about two years. Just now when I was sitting on the bed she ( this is kind of weird a, sorry ) started sniffing my armpits. I didn't really think about it at first but as the seconds passed she started sticking her head up into my armpit, harder and harder. Finally, I pulled away and just started laughing. It is so strange. Is it the 'Old Spice'? Has anyone ever had their cat do this to them?

Not strange at all. Cats love the smell of BO. It's part of the smell of you & all animals like the scent of their owner. I think it's actually a bit of a compliment.

Alot of times it can be the smell of the deodorant but sometimes they do that bc they were taken from there mom to soon so she may see your armpit as a warm and soft place to suckle. I had a cat that would always latch on to any skin he could put into his mouth and try to suckle. This could be the reason or just the smell of it

This is not weird at all. Cats love the smell of sweaty armpits/shirts. I have had cats get a hold of a shirt that has been worn all day, and just roll on it, smell it, and just keep rolling all over it until they were scared away. This is normal.

Poppy does it all the time - she likes to "nurse" on me and my armpit is her favorite place. I guess to her it's much like nursing on her mother. She feels safe there.

If this is a first time for your cat, it's probably just that he smelled something intriguing. There's no Old Spice in my house so I don't know how catalicious it is!

Hee hee - yes! And my cat used to love snuggling up to my smelling nightwear, yes especially the armpits! Its to do with our scent of course, it's strongest around our armpits I think as we sweat most from there.

Your kitty just loves you a lot - and maybe she does have a thing for Old Spice!

The sense of smell in cats is very acute. Depending of the cat they have a favorite smell that entices them. I have cats that go nuts over the smell of bleach. You would think that I have just laid out some catnip. Your kitty's catnip is the combination of your body odor and the old Spice.

nothing to worry about but something to laugh about :)

Cats lick things that are smelly and salty = armpits.

Also, whenever I use a papaya scented lotion on my hands, my cat comes running over to lick it all off. For some reason she loves it.

After I came back from gym yesterday I dro9pped my t-shirt onto the floor. In a flash kitty was there, rubbing herself against it.
Not sure why they do that, weird.

My cat goes crazy for the scent of Ben Gay. Can't go anywhere near him if I have it on, he follows me, rubs on the clothing that had it on (I have to be careful). He loves that Icy Hot stuff too.

My kitty steals my socks. One item every day gets dragged from the basket upstairs, and I find it somewhere downstairs. It's funny, they just like the scent of their people.
