Well,as a Ford partsman,I have literally hundreds maybe thousands of numbers stuck in my head,I don't even know anymore...my brain is like mush after years of abuse.

I remember words like: two,six,eight

Here is just one example of what we deal with.. a ligit Ford part # F65Z-99279A30-A...and it is just a very tiny little bracket....sheesh.

That would depend on how long the number is...
I seem to remember phone numbers very easily.
Once I have dialed a number two or threee times it seems to be stuck in there, or at least recognise the number when it does come up.
Sometimes words as well, esp when it comes to songs. Seems to remember those, but things that I need to learn for school seem to never stick in my head unless I do word associations but even sometimees that doesn't work.
So it would depend, but I seem to know the area codes of major cities when I see them, even zipcodes I can remember them.

A word. If I had to remember a random number I would have to find a way to associate a word/phrase with it.

It depends, if I can relate the number or word to something they will both be easy to remember; however, I have a hard time with my short-memory, so sometimes it really does not matter.

Numbers. I am totally a numbers person. I am horrible with words, particularly names.

Words are easier for me because I could associate them with images better than numbers.
