Sorry you are to old but nice of you to want to go. The cut off age is 36 yrs old. However, you can go into the National Gard up until age 40. I no my brother in law just tried..

yes you are allowed to join the Army. Requirements are ages 17-42, GED or High School Deploma. Has to make at least a 31 on the ASVAB test. Eyesight can't be worst than I think 20-80 in both eyes. you have to meet the physical standards on the APFT.

The Army has changed thier age limitations but last I knew the limit was 35 However reserve limit is 45. Obviously you have to pass all screenings and tests. Then if you get in the Reserves one piece of paper transfers you to Active duty.

That's a BIG NEGATIVE, ghostrider! The oldest they take is up to 28, and after 28 they love to stick their fingers in places that are hard to get to, if you know what I mean?

Wow, I guess the ARMY is doing all it can to be all you can be. I didnt know about the 42 year old thingy, I thought that was just a rumor, so I guess you can! GO FOR IT!!! HOOO YAAAA!!!!

The Army raised its age limit to 42.

If you are prior service, you can add your Time in Service to 42 and that is the age cuttoff.

You must be in good health, non-felon, and be able to pass a drug screening. Talk to your local recruiter for more details.

Yes you can join the Army. I am a recruiter and am up to dated on the regulations. As one person stated before, you must be in basic training by your 42nd birthday. And yes you must pass the physical and mental qualifications. A local recruiter will explain the process for you better.
