What a bunch of stupid things!
Italian and Spanish aren't really similar! (Birra - Bier in spanish is Cerveza, Lavoro - Job is Trabaho and so on)
French and Italian are similar! (many words are similar...) (Prendere - to Take is Prendre, Mattina - morning is Matin, etc...)
They are both very hard to learn because of their uneasy grammar...
I'm italian, I can speak french, english, japanese, a bit of Spanish and german...and you know what?
German is the easiest one!
But if you have to choose between the two of them, then go for My language...
I hate french... sorry... bad memories about that...

Which language is easier to learn, French or Italian?? I would say Italian. It has the most vowels of the Romance Languages so the spoken words "flow" more easily. It has the advantage of being written as it is spoken--French does not.
Also, French has so many more "irregular" than "regular verbs and there is no way of getting around those. You must memorize the irregular verbs.
Spanish would be easier than French also although the pronunciation and "cadence" of the spoken words may be a bit more difficult than Italian.
If you have studied Latin, you are already a step in the right direction. Whichever one you choose, make sure you READ, READ, READ, and SPEAK, SPEAK, SPEAK. Practice is necessary. Good luck and enjoy.

I don't know. I've never heard of Itilian. But, I think Italian is easier to learn than French -- especially if you've had any previous exposure to Spanish. Italian and Spanish are similar.

Personally I think Italian is easier......but that's just me. The thing is, all languages are pretty hard to learn from scratch, and there is not that much difference in difficulty between French and Italian. So if I were you, I'd choose the language that you like best, which one do you think sounds nicer and interests you more? Although I think Italian is easier, I love the French language and so I've decided to try to learn it fluently and I've been learning it for 5 years. Italian is a lovely language but if your looking for a more useful language, then french is a good option because it is spoken in lots of countries such as France, Switzerland, Belgium, Algeria, Luxembourg, Morocco, Tunisia, Canada etc. It is an official language in 41 countries whereas the Italian language is not so widely used. However it's up to you.

For Americans, learning either French or Italian is about the same in terms of complexity, however Italian words may be easier to pronounce than French. Other than that, I would say it's about the same.

What, pray tell, is a "langiuage"? And since I, nor anyone else, knows what "itilian" is, I would say French would be easier for you.

Italian has not so complicated grammar, but French grammar is too complicated even for French themselves, ( also much more tenses . . ).
Also the fact that there are many teach -yourself books of Italian you can buy and to learn the language ( a lot of them even without enclosed Cd/Dvd ) confirms that. Not so many teach-yourself books to learn French, so I would say : Italian is much easier. Pronuncation is also simplier.

That depends on what language(s) you already know. I find French and Portuguese harder than Italian or Spanish.
