I am biracial...and my healthy hair is quite soft and not hard to manage....but right now.... have horribly damaged hair, and I am in the process of fixing it....and I've been having problems managing it. when i put oil on it....it flattens my hair and makes my hair feel nasty. when i dont...my hair doesn't shine....but my hair isn't that dry. My dad recently bought me mane and tail shampoo....without knowing it was for horses.....i felt weird using something on my hair that was for animals. my hair is VERY thick. its either very thick or i have alot of hair. i think i just have alot of hair. anyways....i heard this stuff is supposed to make your hair thick. i dont want my hair any thicker! but does this stuff work good? like I need a good shampoo and conditioner. I dont care about the shiny stuff.....i just need something to help keep my hair in good shape while it's repairing from the damage. do u think this will be good for my hair? if not, what shampoo/cond. would u suggest?

I use it on my horse... but my BFF uses it and she says it is GREAT! Horses have really thick hair, so it's made for thick hair. It is really good!!!

Mane and Tail can be used on horses, but it works great for humans. It is one of several shampooes and conditioners my girls use on their hair (both have very thick curly hair). They will use a different brand each time they buy shampoo and conditioner to keep their hair from coming unmanageable. They also like the Herbal Essance ones, Aussie, and Sunsilk. They all come in a varity of formulas to help repair damage hair and make it "Happy" again.

Even though Mane and Tail shampoo was made for horses it is still a good shampoo for humans too...

Another option is a product line called BioSilk. It does wonders for damaged hair.....

No it's not just for horses..humans use it too. And no it won't make it thicker, just healthier and shinier.

I am mixed race too...I feel your pain on finding the right shampoo its hard! But if the mane and tail work for you then keep using it! Also try hot oil treatment instead of regular oil...then wash it out.

Invest in your hair care: Nexxus or Paul Mitchell. They can help even the worst problems. The cost more and you can only get them at trade secret or salons but I promise they are great!

go to a salon and ask them. Honestly i use aussie 3 minute miracle as a daily conditioner. My hair sounds like yours and thats what works best, and i have tried all the high quailty products, and aussie 3 minute miracle beats them all! and its cheap!

I've used it before. It helps strengthen your hair. Makes it longer and stronger. I like pantene the best though. It makes my hair silky soft and shiney with out making it oily.
