they are very similar. They both work very well for pain management. Everybody seems to have a preference on the medication that works for them. Everybody's body is different.

Vicodin is much stronger than Codeine. They can both make you pretty loopy though depending on how your body handles pain killers. Codeine isn't strong enough for me, but Vicodin works pretty well. It all depends on the dosage, your weight, how you take it, etc.

They are both opiate narcotics. Vicodin is Tylenol and Hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is stronger than codeine.

I'm allergic to codeine. It makes me turn red and break out in hives. But Vicodin is ok.

I prefer the vicodin for pain. I need it for severe burns and skin graphs, I am not addictied to it either and careful only to take it when I can't stand the pain anymore. Usually I'll take two 500 mg vicodin, if necessary. In the hospital they gave me morphine, and yeah, that is very potent.

No.Tylenol 3 is a fairly mild...but narcotic...painkiller. It's used to treat mild to moderate pain.

Vicodin is much stronger.

Both are narcotics and both can be highly addictive.
