hes a complete idiot. i cannot stand him whatsoever. he needs to quit his b****in and race, or leave the sport. i think if he keeps his act up, theyll fire him, which is good. just for baggin on NASCAR he should be done. all he does is blame people for his mistakes, and comes up w/ stupid reasons and/or excuses wh he loses every week, hes getting quite annoying.

Tony Stewart is an outstanding NASCAR driver and has a very "colorful" personality. Home Depot is very lucky to have him as their driver, and I support Home Depot with my shopping, even though Tony may not be my "favorite". Let me repeat that--even though Tony is not my favorite, I buy stuff at Home Depot and am very conscious of the # 20 and Tony when I do. That is called marketing clout!!!
I just bought some stuff at Lowes this week and love to see their support for the #48 of Jimmy Johnson also, who I like a lot.
Charles Barkley was "colorful", said and did some very stupid things, threw a guy through a window here in Orlando, but he was and is a marketable personality.
The biggest "mouth" of them all was Mohammad Ali. How marketable do you think he was, even after saying some stuff that offended many?
Remember John McEnroe? Talk about a "mouth"!!! But guess what, 90% of the time, McEnroe was 100% correct in his tirades about line calls. I thought the heyday of tennis was when Connors, McEnroe, and a few other "colorful" tennis players were all playing. If you create a "buzz", you are good for the sposnor and the sport. For those who might hate "negative buzz", there are others who feel opposite to what you feel. Pete Sampras was one of the greatest ever, but he was so reserved, the advertisers had a hard time coming up with commercials for him as he did not have a lot of "flair".
You are making a mistake if you try to equate "a mouth" or "complaints" as something negative. A colorful personality is very important for a sport, whether one agrees or disagrees with their rants.
You are also making a huge error in judgement if you do not accpet the FACT that Tony Stewart is a real asset to Home Depot and NASCAR, and that he is an outstanding talent.

Why would Home Depot or Joe Gibbs racing want Tony Stewart, a 2 time champion, and probably the very best driver on in Nascar, to not be driving the #20?
Fact is, Tony is a hot head not unlike Dale Earnhardt Sr was, but he's an awesome driver. Love him or hate him, Tony is the man.
You go Smoke!

You know the old saying, negative publicity is better than NO publicity at all. At least he is in the spotlight and will continue to be. Joe Gibbs is in no hurry to get rid of a 2 time champion regardless of the stupid things he says and does. They probably will advise him to keep a low profile for awhile and shut his mouth for a few races anyway.

All the talk about cheating started long before he said anything.
He should have said something to Nascar directly instead of saying it live on his show. The only other thing he did wrong is that he didn't go to the media centre after the race, and he got fined $10,000 for that.
I like the fact that he and some of the other drivers aren't afraid of saying what's on their minds. It keeps the sport honest and open.
Like when dale jr. complains about a dip in the track and it gets fixed, and when several drivers complained about Bristol only having one lane and making it hard to pass. Bristol got ripped up and is getting totally revamped with graduated banking.
Complaining, or crying as you put it, makes the world go round. Without complaining about internet speeds, do you think we would have broadband? Without complaining about somebody throwing garbage on your lawn, do you think we would have litter laws? Without complaining about chocolate and vanilla ice cream, do you think we would have the thousands of flavors we have? Without complaining that the terrorists are bringing their war to America, would any action have been taken to stop them?

I'm not a fan of Tony, but i do see a point in some of the things he has said. But other things seem over the top,and that may be do to his anger over his cold streak lately.Tony is a loud mouth and will continue to be just that.

I don't think HD or Gibbs is going to do anything, I think nascar is the only one that will. Besides he may have a point, it just he's the only one w/ the B@lls to say anything.

Yeah and all this time I thought that R Wallace was the biggest crybaby in nascar. Boy was I wrong. Tony has a routine, get up in the morning, cry. Eat breakfast, cry. Go to lunch, cry. Qualify bad, cry. Wreck why trying to over drive, cry. Not win the race, blame someone else and cry. Talk to the reporters and cry. And it goes on and on.

I think Tony Stewart is awesome!!! He is one of the best NASCAR racecar drivers out there. He has won 2 championships and he's pretty experenced driver. When he first started driving he might of been alittle dirty and a cry baby, but all f that has changed. He has grown up and has become mature and respectable racecar driver. He is a great racecar driver!!!!!!! GO TONY STEWART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
