Okay here's the hypothetical situation: God has come to you, and it's undeniable that it's God, not Satan, or an acid trip, God true and true. God says "You will have my complete forgiveness for any of your actions for the next 24 hours." What would you do? And this wouldn't be a test either, God assures you that you could kill, rape, eat bacon, it's all good.

The question is pointless because we are always forgiven, even if it wasn't pointless no I wouldn't.

First off I eat bacon all the time, and I don't think I'm being sinful. Second God always forgives those who are truly sorry, so the 24hour time limit really does not mean awhole lot. And last, God would never roll out the red carpet and flash the green light, telling anyone that it's o-kay to sin.

Your question is a paradox. If it were the True God, he would never say such a thing. The True God will never give anyone twenty-four hours to commit any and every sin - however despicable - with impunity. To do so would violate his own sense of justice, his own perfection, his own righteousness. And such a person would not be worthy of worship.
Wich leads me to believe that you think you have something up your sleeve. What is it?

Eat bacon while raping my neighbors wife as I slowly choke her to death in the back seat of her husbands brand new Bently that I wanted so badly that I stole it while on the phone with my mother calling her a God damn mutha fu*kin' b*tch because thats what I was told by my golden cow god, Herbert the All-Knowing.
... all the while forgetting that it was Sunday.
Mmm... bacon.

Would you like to know a wonderful secret? When you ask Jesus into your heart marvelous changes begin. We have forgiveness all the time and none of us are perfect so we continue to sin in spite of our best efforts. But the sins you list??????? No Christian is going to knowingly do any of those with the exception of the bacon :) And with Jesus it is indeed all good.

First of all to correct you on one thing, I can eat bacon now and it is all good. But no. I would not. I love God and I love pleasing Him as well.I also love my fellow man too much to kill, rape or do any of those things to them. I hate evil. That is the Word of God. May God Bless U.

I can do any of those things right now.
I choose not to because God has revealed a better way of living.
My nature is being changed and I wouldnt desire to do those evils even if God was to personally give me a green light to do so.

I eat bacon anyways, eh. The other things I would take a pass on. I am happy enough that I have no intentions of doing wrong things.

I would resist the temptation to sin, just as He told me to do before. Just because you are given a window to do so, doesn't mean you should. You could be forgiven for anything at anytime in your life, a sin is a sin no matter what name you give it or how you try to explain it away. I would do my best to keep from having to be forgiven in the first place.

Already have that guarantee, bucko. Read the Bible. Thing is, even though I have that freedom, I also have a relationship with Him. I don't desire to purposely sin against Him like that. I think many Christians would agree.
