Are you looking at road bikes? If so, a 50cm frame is WAY to small. I would expect a person of your height to require at least a 58 cm if not a 60. I am 5'8" and I ride a 54cm. However don't rely on this list for the definitivey word on size. Fit is crucial, especially for very tall or very short riders. Go to Competitive Cyclist online and check out their fit calculator. It is very comprehensive and a good guideline. However, there is no substitute for a professional eye at a good bike shop.

20" mountain. 54/5cm road. The best way is of course to custom fit. The hight and position of your seat as well as length of crank arms can influence proper fit.
