Alcaldía = City Hall, Mayor's office
Intendencia = service corps

alcaldia is pronounced: ahl-khal-DEE-ah (stressed on -dí)

intendencia is pronounced: eehn-tehn-DEHN-seeah

Alcaldia means Mayor's office
Intendencia can mean the police offices or the janitors office it depends on the content, but I think you are looking for the first one.

If you search for intendencia, you will find intendencia municipal for many city government websites in Uruguay.

Where as alcaldia, you will find many city governments websites in Colombia and Venezuela.

intendencia: logistics, maintenance, supplies...but it may depend on the context...if you mean "intendencia municipal" it can also be translated as city hall
alcaldía: mayor's office, city hall, local mayoralty
