I believe you are taking about the Pentecostals, although from the looks of the answers, there are several.
The reason I believe you are talking about the Pentecostals is because I live next door to a family that is Pentecostal.....& the mother and the daughter both have extremely long hair and where long denim skirts all the time.
I KNOW for a fact that it is not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints(MORMON's), & it is not Jehovah Witness.
It is definetly not Catholic, Nazerene, Baptist, Church of God, Methodist......so PENTECOSTAL's have to be it.... ;-)
GOD BLESS

Pentacostal women wear skirts to their ankles and don't cut their hair and wear it in buns. And Apostolic Churches basically the same thing.. Neither wear pants cut their hair or wear make-up... There are however some pentecostal churches that are more modern and allow the women to wear pants and make up. but NOT many... I have been to every kind of denomination church there is just about and those are the only 2 that wear long skirts on a daily basis in and out of church and dont cut their hair.... Baptist, church of christ ,non-denominational all the rest ppl wear what they want Too Say that they allow them to wear makeup or whatever is a bad choice of words... That makes it sound like it is forced that they do this ... They do this by choice. I love the long skirts myself so comfortable... and they dont cut their hair cause thats their glory.

United Pentecostal Church. They broke off with the Assembly of God Church because they could not agree on certain interpretations in the bible concerning God in three persons. They are a oneness, Jesus only church.

One of my friends belongs to this church. They are okay unless you have a problem with some of the doctrine. They believe in order to have evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit, that you have to have the evidence of speaking in tongues, wearing slacks is wearing men's apparel, can't wear jewelry unless its a watch or wedding ring, no makeup because you should adorn yourself with the fruit of the Spirit, and because your hair is your glory, you should not cut it.

Some, but not all, Pentecostal groups ban women from wearing pants and cutting their hair. There are many of them who live in my area. Also, some (but not all) of my female Mennonite or Brethren friends also have long hair (often in a bun under a cap or headcovering) and wear dresses rather than pants.

How do you know they "force" women to wear denim skirts and not cut their hair? Perhaps they like to wear denim skirts and have long hair.
