I tried everything for muscle cramps, finally in desperation I tried what a friend recommeded and it worked. Drink dill pickle juice during the cramp or before you go to bed if you feel you are going to have one It works, I also use a heating pad.

quinine definitely keeps the cramps at bay but you need to talk to your doctor about taking it... it was recently blamed on 93 deaths--quinine is the only treatment for malaria and has often been prescribed for leg cramps. an excellent calcium/magnesium supplement called BONE RESTORE from "Life Extension" manufactured by Quality Supplements and Vitamins, Inc.(Ft. Lauderdale, Fl .) is what I am taking now and seems to be working quite well for me.
