people (as a genralization) get oh so defensive when the theory of evolution comes up. all scientific evidence points towards this conclusions, while as only the bible (a litle book made of paper) supports the adam and eve theory. human kind being made by the command of some guy in the sky? woman from a mans rib? just anohter example of woman inferiority? this is a changed world. you can still be a good religious person if you beleive in evolution. it doesn't take away your beleif in god if you accept the facts of science.... the bible is still filled iwht good morals, ethics, and values. its fine to be a beleiver and use the bible to lead your life, but evolution explains so much in the history of our world, while as the bible has many stories that just prompt the good things i listed above. please explain to me why the facts of science are so hard to accept? and do not tell me i need to read a bible.... i already have.

I am a Christian and yes I did went to school and learned about evolution and know alot about it. so please don't take us like ignorents for we are not.

The reason we don't belive or accept evolution is because
number one - it came form man
Two even scientist don't know what they are talking about - they say that planet earth was formed from gasses that where created form an explotion in outer space. so if this is true then where did these gasses came from? what where they realy made up off?
they fale to explain where and how the univers was formed.
so how could they say that evolution is true when they don't even know what is in the other side of a black hole, when they wheren't even alife at the time it happen.

so your telling me that if scientist some how came up with that humans came from fish you would belive them?

think about things. I could tell you the Biblical part of it, but if I did you would just tell me the Bible is not real and such and such.

don't take this like a put down for it's not (I respect scientist). I just am putting a point out in the open.

God Bless

The problems for the theory of evolution are:

It puts humans in the animal kingdom

It has been totally mis represented by the religions as saying we are monkeys. We are greater Simeon's

It strikes at the heart of the creation myths

Its about facts not belief and or myths

What is so impotent is that it is science and has evidence from many imputes. The creation myths are fun but no evidence that can be cross referenced or substandard in any other way.

Science supports evolution, but some religions require you to believe in their explanations of things (the Bible). But faith is not the same as religion (religion is rules for faith).

The way I see it, you can still believe in a higher power like God without having to play by all the rules of a religion (like Harry Potter is evil). For example, I believe that evolution is real and that it was such an amazing process that we ended up where we are, that it must have been guided by some higher power. Why is it so unrealistic to believe that God made evolution happen? Or guided it? I think science should be proof of God. Some people see science and religion as being contradictory. This is being blind. Letting religion dictate your life to you instead of thinking for yourself.

I think the reason some people don't believe in evolution is because they don't know the difference between religion and faith- they think that it is unfaithful if they think for themselves.

Because, evolution never happened. Let me break it down for you. When god created the world, it was meant as a place for him to get busy and party down. The only beings on Earth were giant walking vaginas called the "pussinians". God had a great time but soon lusted for more, breasts. He then created walking breasts called "tittinas". But god forgot that time would have an effect and soon the pussinians became gray and wrinkled and the tittians sagged. God was afraid to even touch them. But after god not visiting Earth the pussinians craved satisfaction and need to feast. Since god wasn't going to do it, he created man. He then forgot that he had made the pussinians 12 feet tall so he then shrunk them down and morphed them to the tittians aswell so the men wouldn't be over run by needs of satisfatction. this is how the stroy of creation originally went in the bible.

they're in denial...sad isn't it?

and many of the creationists don't even have a BASIC understanding of evolution...they ask THE STUPIDEST questions... "did men come from MONKEYS? why are there still monkeys" u get my drift?

they have been presented with a "version" of evolution that looks NOTHING like the real thing and they go on and attack what they THINK is "evolution" while all the time they're achieving nothing but giving others a good laugh!

"it doesn't sound possible to think that man evolved from a monkey.. or earth was formed by a corrission.. "

see what i mean about the MONKEY thing.....i don't know WHY they don't atleast try to get a basic knowledge about what they're commenting on!!!

People are set in their religious ways and no one can change that. They're afraid to challenge the Bible, as some said.

I suppose most of them are just being close-minded toward other theories and beliefs, yet they want us to agree with theirs. Just a bit hypocritical? I think so.

Some do, some don't because these questions are theoretical and/or theological. Most people have various levels of understanding and opinions on just about everything.
