I took the course for 1 year and am going through Bruce Lee's book on it. I never hear anything about it being used and would just like to hear something.

Studied it in self defense class during our COTC back in High School, we had compulsory military training for High School and College back during the years when the country was under Martial Law. Used the finger jab and JKD lead hand jab pretty much with lots of success breaking a lot of noses in the process, the stomp kicks to the knee and lead hook kicks to the groin are not bad either, the side kick is a bit dicey though since accuracy and timing is hard against an adrenaline pumped charging opponent. Just one problem, broke by hand after missing a right cross and hitting a concrete wall instead and it never healed right, making my right hand's last 2 knuckles swell to the size of a pingpong ball after half a dozen power shots to any hard surface, so bye bye lead right fist punches. Nowadays, I use my hand and feet the way it's supposed to be used, picking up a rock or stick and hitting the other guy with it, then running the hell away before I get stabbed in the gut.

I used it in a bar fight once. It worked well for me. HOWEVER, the guy was really drunk, and I was not. I've been studying different MA for about 9 years now, so take that for what it is.

Todd Medina, a respected KOTC fighter, uses JKD. He glorifies it as his main style.
