Ya know, this is may be crazy, but pasta is my favorite dish to cook, because it is so easy to make a sauce out of just about anything!

I do olive oil in a pan and maybe a little butter for richness. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook on medium heat for a few minutes. Then I add whatever I have...(chopped or sliced)
bacon
asparagus
prosciutto
peas
broccoli
snow peas
bell peppers
mushrooms
scallions
broccolini
broccoli rabe
spinach
fresh tomatoes

You get the idea! Plus I toss in some Italian herbs - oregano, basil, thyme....plus some crushed red pepper flakes for a little spice....some salt and pepper, too.

Quick saute it all up and toss over cooked pasta, throw on a little parmesan and voila! instant dinner!

It seems to me that you're a little bit fed up with the usual italian recipes although the two ladies have given you good italian meals, why not just try toasting some thick slices of bread and then spread the spaghetti sauce on top. It will make a good meal as any.

1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
