Yep.

Even without religion, there is still such thing as hatred, poverty, world politics, war, and insanity.

Welcome to the world.

Imagine, there's no heaven. Above us only sky. No hell below us. it's easy if you try....

Religion and politics are two sides of the coin of social control. Even if there wasn't a 'God' factor, there would be loyalities to a group or to a nationality which would be the 'national religion' like fascism or nazi-ism and violence would take place anyway.

Do you think the crusades were really about religion? or any of the so-called Holy wars?

Finally, those rabid crazed fanatics who were so brainwashed into laying down their lives to smash theWTC to the ground were no cowards, but they certainly were following no religion. Definitely not islam which lays down very clear and humane tenets about the way a Jihad has to be waged.

Religion was only the excuse. 9/11 would have hapened anyway. Just like WMD was an excuse. Bush would have found a way to make the Iraq War happen anyway!

Potentially. If nothing else, the US has a history of meddling in the Middle East in terms of politics. Given that bin Ladin himself had been funded by the CIA's anti-Communist activities (and then somewhat "dumped" when the USSR left Afghanistan), there's a non-trivial chance that folks still would've been pissy over what we've done.

Whether or not that's enough to get people riled enough to start terrorist acts? Hard to tell. Religion tends to amplify certain feelings, and the whole "Holy Land" thing going on over there gets really messy.

People always find some reason to kill each other, but the specific events of 9/11 would not have taken place and would not have been carried out by the same people for the same reasons.

On 9/11 Islamic Terrorist killed about 3500 people. If Islam did not exist then of coarse Islamic Terrorist wouldn't have caused 9/11. It's only logical.

However another approximately 3500 people died in America that day and every day since then. Abortion is a natural result of humanism(a religion), with out a higher being that created us and gave us importance over the rest of creation(which is what Jesus did) we hold no value higher than animal life.

Well if there was no such thing as religion, America as we know it might not even exist. But if the world we lived in was the same, just without religion . . . no, they were seriously thinking that they were doing what God wanted, and if there was no one believing in God/Divinity of any sort then there wouldn't have been any attack based on the premise of "God wants me to."

Religion can be dangerous.

Only one to two things would have prevented 9/11. If the airlines involved had

DONE

their job when it comes to their

OWN

security,

And if, although this nation has never been a Christian nation, had not allowed much of what is ungodly, to have come about.

No,

Most likely society would not have advance enough for there to be the buildings there in the first place.

There would be so much more anarchy, and lawlessness that we would have been to busy protecting our own property and families from people with no morals or internal sense of right and wrong that we would not have time to worry about a few thousand in New York for the people dying all around us every day.

Peace!

9/11 had everything to do with the religion of money. It was a sham.

It did. I believe its now referred to as the Oklahoma City Bombing? Terrorism isn't caused by religion. It is caused by radical thinking, usually by isolated brainwashed, impovershed or oppressed. HOWEVER, we are an extremely violent species and I believe that there will always be such acts... look at Chimps. They're the closest to our DNA and they're scary mean little dudes. : /
