I want to hook my computer up to my receiver for better sound. What's the easiest way to do this? There's got to be some type of cables out there to do this with.

You need a 1/8th" stereo 'mini' jack -to- Stereo RCA cable, it looks like this> http://www.techexcess.net/images/products/stereo-minijack-to-rca.jpg

This cable is connected from your computers Sound Device Line Out port to a aux or unused input connection on your reciever.

Does your computer has a optical output or digital RCA?
Those will definitely work with your receiver if it's equipped with optical or digital RCA input. I would strongly steer away from the stereo jack to L/R RCA type converter because your computer generates lot of static noise and it'll travel to your receiver and gets amplified since standard stereo jack on your computer is an analogue signal.

If you want to get any surround formats to your receiver you want to use something like the following. however if LOW tech will do then use the Mini to RCA cable ( note best surround will be Dolby Pro-logic.
