I would ask first......tell them you have noticed a definite difference in attitude toward you and you'd really like to know if there is a reason. If you don't like what they have to say, then look for another doctor. Medical personnel really NEED to have a good patient interaction, and if you feel uncomfortable, you need to find someone else.

Don`t complain and don`t change your doctor - you will have bad feelings with your new doctor before you even start as they will know why you changed docs. It`s like this at my surgury sometimes - i think what`s up with them....? What have i done....? It`s most likely nothing to do with you - a problem within the surgury, and you`re picking up on them being distant. I know when i rang for an appointment on tuesday the receptionist said to me, " and will you press one for appointments, you`ve come thru to prescription queries so you pressed three - and you`ve done it before !" - really nasty she was. I said i DID press one - and i`ve never pressed three...
I thought god what`s her problem...?
When i went in the next day she was all hi are you alright ? !
I didn`t know what to think !
Sometimes i think they`re just that way out - must be pressure of the job - who knows ?
But thankfully we only have to see them when we`re unwell - and not every day - now that would be a problem ! I`ve yet to meet anybody who doesn`t have probelms at their doctor`s to be honest.......................

Check first that that you haven't sent a communication that could have been misconstrued:
A read a funny story in RD about somebody who had sent a letter that he hadn't actually read before sending. The Spell check was OK, He received a very frosty reception.
Then he checked the actual letter he'd sent. Unfortunately it had a totally different meaning to that intended e.g.'I saw you today', came out as 'I saw you toadies' , etc!

If it is up setting you then ask him if you have done some thing wrong. It might be that he is not feeling well or having problems of his own, but to put your mind at rest talk the your doctor.

did u even think that maybe they fancy you, being distant doesnt nessacery mean that u have done something on them, this is a common way for a woman who fancies u, they have to be careful and not to mix personal with professionlism

Give them a break, we all have off days. I expect there was some crisis in the surgery just before you came.

Doctors and nurses are not there to make friends with their patients. Don't get attached to your doctor...it's like falling for your 1st grade teacher. Both common with children.

They had probably just been informed that another patient had died from misdiagnosis and were worried about being sued for incompetence

Tell them that you see a change in the way they behave towards you, and ask them what the problem is, so it can be remedied.
