The way you worded your question is a little confusing.
1. The spouse does not "make" anything.
2. An E-2 married with no children makes $ 1458.00 per month in base pay, before taxes and deductions.
3. A married soldier will additionally receive BAQ and other benefits.
4. A soldier assigned to a combat tour will earn additional combat pay.
5. The total amount is generally deposited into the Soldier's checking account. If you have a joint account, which most married people do, then this is is the amount that you can be expected to live on, less whatever he needs for his personal needs.

Well depending on where they are deployed to, there is hazard duty pay, their regular pay is tax free. If extended there is another 1000 a month beyond the one year mark.
You can easily enroll at armytimes.com and look it all up based on your soldier's rank.
My husband is an E-7 so he will take home more then an E-2.
I would say on average between all the tax savings you may see an increase between 500- 750 a month.
When you file taxes next year, his income while in Iraq is not included in the amount you claim so you will usually get a big chunk back with earned income credit depending on what you do or if you work while he is gone.
My situation is different as we have 2 kids as well.

There are several ways to look at this...
First, please see yes_its_me's answer. He has given you some very good information.
Second, your husband can sign up for split pay while he is on deployment. Meaning so much would go to your joint account (assuming you have one) and so much would go to him as a check or into his account.
Third, as a spouse, you are always free to have your own job doing whatever you want. You can make minimum wage or have a job that pays $80 grand a year if you have the education. It all depends on you.
Finally, if you aren't married already, please don't get married because you think your boyfriend will make more money that way. In truth, it really doesn't work that way. If you live on base, the military gives you a house, water, and electric, but your cable, most places, and phone come out of your own pocket. If you live off base, you get money for rent, but, in most places it isn't enough to cover your utilities. So, you just don't make more money eventhough you get more money. Oh, your husband will get money for food, but only about $240/month.
Good luck.

Your husband will make his base pay, he will continue to get separate rations and he will get Hostile fire pay, family separation allowance, Hardship duty pay and it will be tax free, you still pay SS and Medicare. It amounts to about 600-700 a month (roughly). The spouse doesn't get paid anything as we don't get a paycheck for what we do. I just went through an Iraq deployment, and for me the extra money isn't worth the heartbreak of saying goodbye and the constant worrying about if my husband was going to make it back safely. Your husband can get more info from his finance office as to the exact amounts if you need more specific numbers.

the SPOUSE doesn't make anything. The Servicemember does,
as a married SM, he is entitled to BAH at the With dependant rate. Base pay will be based on his paygrade and Time In service. additional pays and allowances will vary from person to person.. special duty pays, Hostile Fire Pay, Imminent Danger Pay, Pro Pay, etc and so forth.

The spouse makes ZERO. The Husband (Military Man) will make around $1,300 base pay (+/- based on rank) plus allowances.

If you're married to a military man, then you already know the answer to this question, or you have access to the answers. If you are going to get married to him, he can provide all these answers for you. If you're not, then it's not really any of your business, now is it?

you know i am ex military finance myself and i found this question pretty rude. your man makes his money. if he wants to support you then he is sharing his money. you are not making one thing. he may get an allowance for quarters but that is just housing allowance it may increase when he has a dependant but that is only to get a bigger house for that one dependant. wether it be a wife or a child. you dont make one cent. only the husband. you need a job.
