Not if he stays at DEI. He would have a much better chance if he goes to RCR, Gibbs or Hendrick.

I dont think so. He has talent he just doesnt have the maturity, the focus or the dedication to racing to keep up with these other amazing drivers. There is some serious competition out there. Jr has his hands in too many pockets, and still cares more about how many days off he has each week than his driving. He recently said when asked what he loves most about racing is having 4 days aweek off. That's not the mentality of a serious driver or especially of a champion. I dont think going to RCR will help Jr, only Jr can help Jr. I dont see Jr giving 100% to racing yet let alone 110 at least if he wants a cup, he's still looking to take the easy way out.

As long as he isn't running DEI and Tereasa Earnhardt is he doesn't stand a chance. She is what Kevin Harvick called "a deadbeat owner" and doesn't have the desire and determination that the other big name owners do. Jr needs to go to RCR next year if he ever wants to contend for a championship and win races. If he remains at DEI or goes to drive for his own team, he may win a few races but will never contend for the Nextel Cup.

Jr can easily win the championship if the following drivers will drop out: Tony Stewart, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, Denny Hamlin, Kurt Bush, Kyle Bush, and Greg Biffle. If that happens, Jr might have a chance.

No
Yup, he won't
With NASCAR becoming more filled with talented stars
He will be nearly shoved off of the spotlight as well as Victory Lanes
Just look at him now; I feel sorry for Earnhardt
It just seems nothing is going his way
His organization, the situation with Yates, and just bad luck
has taken him down
He's nearly at a veteran level and has been good bu not there at the end
So, he might win more races but not a championship

I think he will eventually win a championship. However, I agree that it will be with another team. This will probably be w/ RCR, although you can be sure he's getting courted by both of the "super teams", Rousch & Hendrick. Right now I believe he just has way too much on his plate & needs to get out from under some of the commitments that are absorbing so much of his time & energy.

No matter what team he drives for, he lacks the talent to become a champion. Unless every race of the season was raced on restrictor plate tracks, and even there he's lost a lot of his luster.

He sure won't win one with DEI. I think his only chance is with RCR. Wouldn't you just love to see Jr. in the balck 3 car??
