I would keep both of the dogs, because they are part of my family. If I had to give one of them up for a really good reason, I would keep the Dobie. Dobermans are such wonderful dogs. They are also very protective. I don't own one yet, but one day I plan to.

The DOBERMAN PINCHER. They are so graceful, smart, sleek, easy to keep clean, very loyal, highly trainable & I love this breed. A strong dognality (personality).
I have had two of them. I also have had Labs. The labs shed horribly, they aren't anywhere as graceful as the Dobie, they are smart, also loyal, hard to keep clean, the Labs temperament is far less as strong as the Dobie, a much mellower of a dog.
I like strong temperamented dogs & not one that will piss it's self. Not that the Labs do this but their temperament is so mellow that childrenn can play with it without fear.
I would most definatly choose the Dobie, either sex. The stronger the temperament the better. I want dominate dogs. Strong willed dogs.
That is what I would choose.
Good luck on your choice.

I'd keep the Doberman--but I'm partial to them since I had one growing up. I've also had Labs, and although they are very loving dogs, they are also one of the most stubborn breeds. I found that the Doberman would follow commands and mind better.

If I already had both, I wouldn't be able to part with either. Why? Because that was the commitment I made when I initially got them.
If I were choosing a dog, I'd prefer the Doberman Pinscher. Fantastic family dogs, very loyal, easily trained, always the desire to please. (that's just my bias opinion as I've had dobes for over 25 yrs)

a million, How plenty workout do they want? An grownup Dobermann calls for no less than a million.5 hours complicated workout - think of in terms of strolling, caniX coaching and not a sluggish walk around the park. Off lead sprinting and monitoring time too. 2. Are they easily experienced? no longer a pushover to coach and could take the degree of a individual to work out what it could escape with. it somewhat is as plenty approximately having organic corporation authority to earn the canines's admire as a pacesetter because it somewhat is going to the rest. 3. might they be ok living with different canines, cats and small furries? it somewhat is a dominant function of the breed for adult males to be same intercourse aggressive and few will tolerate the presence of yet another male canines interior the relatives individuals with fights ensuing in nasty chew wounds. 4. How plenty grooming do they want? The breed calls for minimum grooming. 6. What are their guarding instincts? 0, besides the shown fact that it somewhat is a dominant function of the breed to have stable watch canines expertise it somewhat is a various activity than that of a shelter canines. 7. Do they get on properly with little ones? If the discern teaches the little ones to tackle the canines with care and admire and not a extensive toy, then definite it somewhat is in all possibility to effectively combine possessing a Dobermanns and parenting little ones. 8. How plenty do they shed and do they drool? i might say medium in terms of laying off and minimum drooling. 9. Any own stories with the breed? The breed wouldn't matter. I would take into consideration age, temperament, health, where I would be "getting rid of the dog" to...an unhealthy, old or untrained dog is much harder to rehome.
Look at the reasons you are considering giving up a dog. Is it something you can work with by using the correct trainer/method for the situation?
If you are just picking one because 2 dogs are too much, and you are basing your decision strictly on breed-get rid of them both.

Hello..both breeds are great dogs, if BRED PROPERLY - HEALTHY, many big dog breeds have been so over bred, they often have hip problems - Hip Displaysia & due to bad dog owners..many home insurance companies will not insure people who have Dobies, Rotties, Pitts ..even Shepherds ...Take Care :)

My breed of choice is the doberman - they're SO smart, clean, not smelly, don't shed, loyal, faithful, mellow. I just love them.
But then again, it's hard to beat a good Lab - they're SO smart, loyal, faithful, mellow. They do get dirty, they do shed and as they get older can be somewhat smelly - but then when people get older they get smelly, too.
It's up to you.

Doberman, I like the intelligence, loyalty, love of life, sense of humour, nice short coat, and their butt is just plain adorable when they wiggle that tail!

I'd keep both. Once you have a pet, it's yours. But if I had to choose it would be the Dobie, because I have two and love them.
