Take a good look?!?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesha

The Bible says in Genesis 1:26-27; "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over...all the creatures...So God created man in His own image, in the image of
God He created him; male and female He created them."

(In kindness I share, take that cursed thing off of your neck!)

You are mixing up your ideologies.

In Christianity, yes, man was created in god's image.

This is not a tenet of the Hindu faith. Ganesh is a Hindu god. No Hindu ever claimed to be made in the image of Ganesh.

To get past all the confusion examine the scripture as it really is. To do so you must read more than one scripture on the subject.

The image God is speaking about is "spiritual" since the Bible makes it clear in John 4:24 that God is "Spirit." The thing you see in the mirror every day is just the house your spirit lives in.

For Kallan - you are wrong about the Christian God. He is not
anything like you imagine Him to be, and if you would repent of your sins and ask Him to forgive you He would, because He is a God of love and mercy. To the unrepentant he is a God of wrath and judgment. Even in that respect He is not a terrorist but a Holy Person who passes judgment based on perfect knowledge of His creation. Since He is perfect in all His ways He never makes a mistake in anything he does. He is perfect love and perfect justice. Nothing escapes His notice - not one single particle of information. He is greater than all our thoughts about Him, and yet loves us in spite of our rebellion against Him and offers His Son to deliver us from sin, death and eternal punishment. No terrorist would do what He has done. Terrorists live to kill and love to kill. God will never be like that.

Which God are you talking about?

The Jewish...the Hindu...the Muslim...and others?

Because they seem to be all different.

These differences are the basis of most of the wars, past and present.

Now if you were to say our Creator than I am with you.

I love Ganesha, Lord of Intelligence. I'd much rather be created in his image than that terrorist god of the christians any day.

The image is not physical at all. We have his atributes, OR QUALITIES. He loves, we love, we have compassion, so does he. We think we feel, we have his qualities.
