As a healthcare provider, when I order antibiotics that are known to cause nausea I be sure to tell the patient to eat with the pill....I mean a meal not just a bite of something. And incidently....ginger does work. And next time tell your provider that the antibiotic gave you nausea. We have several to chose from...maybe a different one would be better.

If you are really nauseous despite eating food with your antibiotic (per physician though), perhaps you can talk with your physician about switching to a different antibiotic or at least see what he or she recommends. For nausea, in general, peppermint is supposed to help and gas-x (which I think has mint in it as well) may also.

Ginger does it for me every time and I have like the worst stomach ever. It can take a while to get used to the taste as it's pretty strong, try it in a tea maybe to help with that as you can add sugar or whatever. Personally, I love the taste of it and the smell too, it just took a while lol. Good Luck!

Studies have been done at Vanderbilt University with excellent result of smelling rubbing alcohol to reduce nausea. It has been proven just as effective as prescription meds for nausea. Also try taking the med with meals.
