I have seen this asked many times, and fundies just stumble around the issue.

obesity because of gluttony is a sin...yet fundies say, oh please.

bankruptcy, not paying back credit debt is stealing...one of the biggies...of the 10 commandments...but, fundies poopoo the issue...

Divorced/remarried people will not inherit the kingdom of God, according to Luke/1 Corinthians....but, again, fundies turn a blind eye.

artificial stimulants like caffeine in pop and coffee alters ones moods and many would say that mind altering drugs are sinful.

smoking is not good for you and your body is the temple of God..but, again fundies look the other way.

But, when you ask about being gay...all of a sudden the Bible comes out and they thump you over the head.

Why is it that many fundamentlists look the other way on their sins...and the ones that affect their monetary contributing congregants...but, point out the ones that affect their, "enemies"?

People of all faiths are expert at rationalization. Not so good at the use of reason.

LOL!!!
Nothing's changed since the time of JC.
Remember the woman caught in adultery, and she was being stoned?
He told them, 'let he who has never sinned cast the first stone'. JC wrote on the ground. The oldest Fundies dissapeared first.
Again the Fundies cornered him one day when he was healing people on the Sabbath.
Again JC told them, You Hypocrites, what do you do if your prize cow fell into a well? Pull Him out, innit?
And finally, before he left for calvary
JC gave them the one over-riding law which said
LOVE one another. that's above all the laws and all the prophets.
Now, WILL YOU STOP sounding like a fundie for heaven's sake?
Love, man, LOVE

the word sin is a funny one... Who are you sinning against? Well the world talks about "god" yet god is only spoken of in terms of religion... When you talk about the laws of god. the general accepted practice is that it comes from the bible or other so called holy books.... People accept that both good and evil exist in the spirit realm but those especially fundamentalists don't even consider that these books have been inspired by evil. Look at it, all religions function on exclusivity, prejudice, and violence.... the christian origins are extremely violent... yet they all think it's inspired by good. Again looking at the history of humanity the terms good and evil where introduced by the christian movement and no one else still harps on it... Evil defining good and evil on earth would keep an imbalance going on. What if we all begin to look at religion as evil inspired.... truth might come to light.

I kinda have to agree with this. They say a sin is a sin yet gluttony does not seem to be on that list.

A fat christian is a contradition to thier own values. I know, I know they are not perfect.

BECAUSE THESE "FUNDIES" DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF THIER ATTITUDES, NOR THE TREU TEACHINGS OF CHRIST. I KNOW MY SINS, AND I DO NOT JUDGE OTHERS ON THIERS. WHY? BEACUSE MINE ARE MY ISSUE, BETWEEN ME AND GOD. IT IS NOT THIER CONCERN UNTIL IT BECOMES A HAZARD TO THE WELL BEING OF OTHERS, OR MYSELF. I AM A FUNDAMENTALIST. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT ONE HAS NO PLACE TO QUESTION OR DISCUSS SOMEONE ELSE'S SIN LIFE WITHOUT FIRST HAVING A TRUE RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM.

They do this because they don't follow Jesus.

Jesus says' look to your own sin. Not the sins of others.' Jesus says 'love one another.' Not 'love only certain people.'
