B. pretty much describes the first meal I made for my now husband. I used box pasta, but made the sauce from scratch. And it's a long story involving accidentally dumping some of it off my balcony into the landlady's yard, and then being locked out of his house due to miscommunication!

And he's culinary arts and I was a head cook. So he does trust my cooking now!

A & E Honesty is the best policy. A food service worker would know if someone were messing around.
If you follow a nice recipe- you can't go wrong.
If you are experienced, you will know the shortcuts- not all are fake- just good technique.
If you don't know how to cook- try- if it sucks- order out.
If you can follow directions and read, there really is no excuse as long as you pick a reasonable recipe.

I'd say B. The easiest thing is to do a pasta dish. Don't do anything fancy just something really easy but shows that you really made an effort to get dinner cooked for him. Good luck :)

I would totally work hard and make it from scratch.. here is just a simple idea..
Fix Homeade Noodles with green beans, buttered rolls, and a meat such as beef, turkey or even ham! That will get his mouth wattering for more weather it be food or a KISS for you! Good luck in preparing this meal!

If your boyfriend cares about your feelings I'm sure it wont matter what you cook at all he will definitely give you a good rating and lots of compliments. Why don't you cook him something you know he will like instead of asking people who don't know your boyfriend.

I would choose A, work hard and make it from scratch... just to show that they are worth my time, energy and effort.... Honestly!
I would make appetizers, the main dish/entree and desert... the whole deal... (perhaps also to impress them with my abilities)

"a" of course. and I hope he's smart enough to not offer his "professional" opinion on your cooking. cook whatever you want and have a good time, he'll love it.
