That's really a tough Question, because as I write this, there are probably a dozen high-quality microbrews hitting the market (along with fifty crappy ones!).

I haven't tried everything, obviously, but I've never been disappointed with the Anchor Steam family of brews.

previous Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout from the North Coast Brewing Co in citadel Bragg CA. previous Crustacean Barley Wine from the Rogue Brewery in Newport OR(no longer fairly a dismal yet powerful tasty and approximately 11.5% alcohol and lifeless guy Ale from the Rogue Brewery.

I enjoy most Great Lakes Brewery beers. I enjoy White Ales and I say down with IPA's

I agree with Sam adams. I haven't met one I didn't like. Also, if you like the bitter, I recommend Arogant Bastard. great stuff. Also, there's some good Canadian stuff from Ubiqutorate, like La Fin du Monde, or Modite.

my current fav is leinenkugels sunset wheat.
quelque chose and la fin du monde are great, too. i enjoy the quelque chose served slightly heated.
