I don't see the challenge.

The banana has evolved as the result of human intervention and cross-pollenation. The program claims to prove God's hand in the formation of the banana, but it really just proves humanity's hand in the formation of the banana.

Even if the banana did evolve there by chance, it still doesn't prove the existence of any god. There are plenty of great complex examples that would be better than a banana, and they still don't prove God's existence.

So, no, not a challenge to atheists. It's a bit of an insult, because Kirk Cameron thinks atheists are dumb enough to fall for that. But, such is life.

The challenge is trying to figure out what Comfort and Cameron have been smoking......Maybe banana peels.

Nah, it just showed how ignorant he could be. The banana was a product of selective breeding..so if they want to try and prove god with a banana it should at least be a natural banana and not the product of a form of evolution.

They later said their banana comments were tongue in cheek and not to be taken seriously....and that they were....drum roll please......taken out of context!! HA

Who is Kirk Cameron, and why do we care about his opinion about bananas? This impresses me as hopelessly silly.

A feeble one at best. By the way, you know that man's going to represent Christianity in a debate on ABC News? Atheists win in a walk.

Why did he do that? We all know Kirk is several apples shy of a barrel. I think he is trying to prove evolution is wrong now too.
