Yes, there has been a better con and it has gone on for a very long time, more people fall to it than to any other.

The con-artist is talked about all of the time, people that have fallen for the con itself will even acknowledge movies, books, and such about the con-artist and never see the rub; Satan as the being is best known by the very people he has ensnared in his vicious little game of slight-of-hand, yes, my friend Satan has the best game goin' and people feel good believing his con; isn't that the true power of a great con? To have the people you have conned feel happy and content that they were never fooled, why Houdini in all his glory never made so many people feel secure in a con. It is not a complex scheme at all, all he ha to do was convince people that he did not exist, and poof guilt is taken away. If there is no Satan then people loose faith in GOD, if there is no GOD they can act as they want and there will be no repercussion.

Many of us know the conman for what he is and expose this hideous con and help others become free of the yoke of sin and live a real, wonderful, happy and Faithful life.

If you are referring to Churches and places that take the offering plate and use the money for things other than the will of GOD, do not worry their fruits will show and they will pay a heavy price.

When TV Evangelists come on the TV and say that this family is El Salvador or Africa needs money to date non of them have helped anyone but themselves. So they are a joke for those who don't really care who they give money to.
That indeed is an invisible friend.
But no Athesist has helped anyone either.
Then there is the true christians who work behind the seens and do help others.
When herrican Katrina ripped the coast and the government seemed or does seem now unable to help it has been reported that the rebuilding work is going on at a rapid pace.
who is doing the work?
a local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses sends food, appliances and workers down there to rebuild their peoples houses. Setting up food lines to feed the workers all food donated and brought down by Witnesses from Ok, Tx, Mi and La. they even took in older witnesses and familys giving them a place to live until their houses were rebuilt.
the Babtist Church in town had to go around barricades set up by the government to keep people out to take down much needed food to the national guard working down there.
Setting up BBQ pits to make hamburgers and hot meals.
They to have been working down there in the rebuilding work.
I am not a Babtist but think they should get credit for that.
Donateing clothes and other things has been going on by local churches who get very few donations. The big donations go to the big Cathdrals and TV evangelists who in times of crissis do nothing to help anyone.
What is wrong with that?

The whole purpose of the collection plate or offering bag has changed over the years.

It should never been about how God needs money. He doesn't. The whole idea of giving or tithing comes from the old testament's ideal of sacrificing your best and giving thanks. Mega churches have turned this into a need based thing because they are running on multi million dollar budgets for their Sunday production.

If we were to go back to the roots of the church, where groups of people gathered in a simple environment, it would seem less like a con.

The money from the offering plates goes to the light bills, the water bills, the lease or mortgage, the pastor's salary, etc. If you don't believe in God, that's ok by me. You believe what you want to believe. But why question someone else's faith? What do you have to gain by that?

some people use religion to con people out of money. people will use anything to con people out of money.

everyday average churches are not conning anybody. they do not say that God needs money. Why do you assume that churches get the things that you have to pay for- like gas, electricity, insurance, etc., for free? Church buildings have mortgages, their roofs need to be repaired, replaced, just like your home. If you don't go to church then you don't need to contribute to the upkeep of the facility and the programs the church provides. You don't use them. Why do you even care?

actually, religion is NOT valid for Spirituality, because it cannot prove it's religious beliefs.

Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

I believe I should financially support anything I am a part of. I just wrote a huge check to the Little League in my area to help with the cost of expenses because my son is in the Little League. I pay taxes on everything just to live. :) I believe I should give to my church because I am a part of it.

Maybe you should not eat.. since food can make you fat.. or drink, since water causes floods.. or love, because there is divorce.. or believe in a God, because you may be asked to yield to HIS desires for your life. He doesn't need your money.. He WANTS and LOVES... YOU!.. Money is a reflection of a purposeful and dedicated heart. Keep it if you wish.
