Nothing wrong with going barefoot! It's comfortable and healthy, there's nothing dangerous or unhealthy about it. I've been barefoot for ten years and I've never even for one moment wished for shoes. Don't worry too much what people say, if people are worried about health or safety issues see the website below for facts instead of myths.

Don't let it bother you. The grass on the bare feet feels really good. Besides there is nothing wrong with being a hillbilly.

BE PROUD - I'M A HILLBILLY TOO! TELL YOUR WIFE SOMEONE OVER YONDER THINKS YOUR GOOD TO GO BAREFOOT.
WIKIPEDIA DEFINITION.
Hillbilly is an often pejorative term referring to people who dwell in remote, rural, mountainous areas. In particular, the term refers to those who are perceived to be inbred, backward, or uneducated. Usage of the term "hillbilly" generally differs from other terms referring to rural people in the United States in that it can be used for mountain dwelling people anywhere but is generally not used to refer to rural people in non-mountainous areas. While terms like redneck and cracker often connote rejection of, or resistance to, assimilation into the dominant culture, theoretically hillbillies are merely isolated from the dominant culture. Because of its strongly stereotypical connotations, the term is frequently considered derogatory depending on the context in which it is used or the attitude of the user.

I like your question. I do the same. Do I care what others think ....NO.....tell your wife your being yourself. Tell her that you pay your bills that your neighbors don't. I am who I am take it or leave it. When I moved into our neighborhood I warned all the neighbors that I am a country hick, I go barefoot, I wear my boxer shorts around, I tend to spit alot. If they don't like it ...oh well. Good luck to you and your bare feet.

No. You DO NOT care.
Neither do I.
Maybe someone should care about your wife, but it isn't MY job and you don't seem to want to make it YOUR job, so NO ONE cares about your wife.
Have a nice day.
