Sorry about this, I do not wish to cause offense but why are you limiting God?
God is beyond all the combined imaginations of mankind, even greater than that.
Beyond all understanding, Muslims do not limit God to one thing, he is without beginning or end. Any description of man to God is always limited and doomed to failure.

...only by the amount that we love in return. God's love is measureless ,otherwise, because God's Love, like his Goodness and other primary attributes, is eternal,infinite,ultimate and transcends all categories.

God's love is not something materialistic that can be measured, or that even needs to be measured. The knowledge that God is there for us and always will be, is consoling enough. :)
