You must have missed the memo back in 1968 that stated that GM builds the most reliable vehicles on the road bar none and continues to to this day.You don`t see any older Honda cars on the road because thier all on the scrape iron heap.

I Don't Really Know When That Will Happen But Its Not Just GMC. Its Also Chevrolet,Pontiac,And Buick. I Think If You Were Going To Buy Out Of That Company GMC Would Be the Best Buy Out Of All Of Them.

Uh, a porsche SUV is still an SUV and I don't see many lower class people driving those. Same for the Mercedes and Lexus SUV's. I could however state the question specifically in regards to pick up trucks... And one more thing, (this will win me points) why is it that the further out in the country you go, the more junk cars people have in their yards?

You missed that boat already. Look and see how many old GMC/Chevy trucks are still on the road from 1972 to 1976. Those years just keep on running and running and running.
My old one turned over 400,000 with a single engine rebuild, some new u joints and the orig. rear end.
(of course it has a few dents and a bit of rust now.. but hey.. its 30+ years old and still doing daily work)

All the American car manufacturers are in deep trouble and do not know how to compete with the Japanese in way of product, quality or reliability. Japanese car makers make more money per car too.
It may take the complete collapse of GMC, Chrysler and Ford to get them to change. They have huge debt for retirement systems for employees, lost markets, foolish decisions in product design (huge cars, bad gas milliage), decaying infrastructure and poor morale. The sales to China is the only thing that seems to be carring GM right now and this is ending as China enters the car making market.
Expect cheap, poorly designed, unreliable junk to keep rolling off the line from the Big 3.

GM maybe good in the 70s but not today...I guess you guys are the last breed of GM fanatics... Try buying a newer GM and repost your opinions...
GMs slogan... "Build crap,, they gonna buy it anyway.."
