I take her out for about twenty minutes each time, she does both, and I make a big deal each time. She even comes running towrds me frolicking when she does her bussiness, because she knows she will get praised. She is a Cane Corso, which is basically a mastiff breed, and her bussiness is BIG, and then inside Is as big as it was outside!! And she pees everyten twenty minutes! her pee is a healthy color, just not on my floor!

My 1 y o goes twice as much as my 8 y o. Do you walk her when you take her out? Exercising her really lets her "relieve" everything. If you let her out in the yard for 20 minutes of that 20 minutes she is probably busy smelling everything for about 15 minutes. If you walk her you'd be surprised how much sooner she will go. Plus she is getting a healthy dose of exercise; it's a win/ win deal!

I know it is frustrating...I am going through the same thing with my puppy, but hang in there!! It will work eventually.

She probably needs to be outside longer, I know it is frustrating....especially at 3am when you want to be snuggled in bed instead of standing in the cold rain, lol,...but you may have to be outside as long as 20-30mins at a time.

Puppies potty frequently, and sometimes don't go all the way when they squat, and have to go again shortly after. Just be patient, throwing a ball and getting them running a bit speeds up the process (although not at 3am as then they will be WIDE awake and want to play all night)

Also, make sure you clean the area's where she pottied inside well. Any lingering scent can lure her there and make her go inside again.

I know you want to keep your yard clean, but leave some poops in the yard for a day or two, she will go sniff them and get the idea....poop=outside, and that will also speed up her going.

Good luck, hang in there!!

EDIT: if she is peeing that frequently, go to the vet and see if the can get a sample to check for UTI-very common in female pups. My puppy had this and was peeing in the house very often also, 7 days of anti biotics and she is much better. Her pee was healthy color as well, but if they go frequently and drink excesivly those are symptoms also, also if she squats but doesn't go...it's hard to tell, but if she squats frequently, she probably isn't relieving all thats in there, and a UTI could very well be the problem.

If the crate is too large, the puppy will designate one are of the crate for sleeping and one for potty...

The crate should only be large enough for the dog to sit, turn around and lay down. Many wire crates come with a divider - Use the divider if you have it or get a smaller crate.

It sounds like you are bringing her in too soon. Remember that after she goes outside is a great time to walk her or paly with her. This then gives here body a chance to realize it still needs to do some.
