Okay....so who has done this? Some of you prob. gone to craigslist's "casual encounters" section. Do they work, have what have your experiences, posting online for a hook up? Did you host or she host ? how awkard or dangerous was it ? Just answer with any experience you had or heard about this...

Iv'e never gone to the Craigslist but I have met a lot of different people in chat rooms and such. I've had really great experiences with internet dating. I think I just like the idea to be able to say or do whatever I want. I can let a different side of myself out when I'm just typing. It's a really good adrenaline rush for me to have "intimate" relations with people on the internet sometimes.

I had some good experiences before people started exploiting the internet back around 1995 until about 2000. I did have some problems, however. One woman was sure I would get her out of the city she was stuck in and move her to my place. When I said it wasn't going to happen she basically started stalking me...calls in the middle of the night(she "googled" my phone number), threatening emails. She even called my boss and started a rumor that I was seeing a married co-worker. On the other hand I met some very nice women also and had a great time talking with them and even some role-playing. You just have to be careful and have a kind of sixth sense about who you are dealing with.

I actually would be a little scared to do something like that because if this person is willing to have a sexual encounter with a complete stranger, they might be willing to rob a complete stranger or rape a complete stranger or even kill a complete stranger. You have to watch out for people who dont have morals.

He was an idiot but I hosted with a friend in another room so felt safe enough
Be careful it can work but remember if you are careless it can be risky

ive never heard of craiglist --- i have met ladies online and we have met for casual encounters and yes they were interesting --- one lady in particular i would like to count as a friend now and no there will never be any more sex between us --- she has found someone very special to her and i think its wonderful

80% of the craigs list stuff are scams. I have hooked up with people I have met on line but it was through message boards, not scam ads.
