I gotta say I'm with the teapot on this one.
Are there any arguements against the teapot? Just for curiosities sake.

I know there are many very good ones against Pascal's Wager.

And, just to add to the game: Why are you athiests on here, if you came from monkeys,"Bible quote."

Of course there are arguments against the teapot. Russell was concerned with "burden of proof" and that is not what Christianity is about at all. If we want real meaning and purpose in our lives, we have to seek the One who created us and to do that we have to assume He exists. If we are satisfied with making some purpose up as a crutch so we can go from day to day, then assume He doesn't exist. Where is the need to consider "burden of proof"?

I don't know if there is a teapot in orbit but who cares? But millions of us constantly are asking "why am I here" and "what is my purpose" and for that, we need to care about the question of whether God exists. If you can find meaning and purpose without God, good for you, but you still have to consider the possibility of God. Even Russell understood that he needed to formulate an answer to give to God just in case God exists and tries to stop Russell from getting into Heaven. I don't think he bothered about the teapot.

The "who cares?" claim is at the heart of Russell's argument. It is Russell who says we don't care about claims of teapots in orbit and likewise we shouldn't care about claims about God.
