Everyone always says "oh don't worry, you'll find someone, you'll find the right person, there's someone for everyone, it WILL happen", but they don't really know what will happen. There are plenty of people out there who never find the "right person" or anyone. So why do people always tell singles that they WILL find someone, let alone the right person? I think when people say stuff like this it should be taken as an insult.

Why is everyone assuming I'm asking about myself? I'm not single, I'm engaged. I bring this up because at work yesterday we have this young single guy and all the women were telling him "Oh, you'll find someone, there's someone for everyone" blah blah blah, and I was thinking "No, they don't know that, why do they tell people stuff that they have no way of knowing???" So I thought it's ridiculous and I asked my fiancee last night and she said it's ridiculous too, there are plenty of people who are single and happy and its offensive to make someone feel like they need to have someone.
I'm cracking up at some of you who answer by saying "Oh, it's a blow off, they're trying not to hurt your feelings" and other stuff about ME. LOL, you should read the question a little better next time, don't make assumptions.
