Hilarious.

But what I think you're observing is the difficulty we have in quantifying the results of prayer. Is there any scientific way of doing that? It's been tried, perhaps with dubious results.

The problem is that things are too complex, often, to guage the results of prayer, especially community praying. Also, even with a day of prayer, it can be argued that is not enough.

I have no doubt, subjectively, that prayer changes things. One simple prayer when I was a drug-using hippy radically changed my entire life and was accompanied by a personal miracle.

I have also noticed that group prayer yields amazing results.

If you had people getting together to blaspheme God, how serious would that be? What would be the point, really? It wouldn't be aimed at doing any demonstrable good that I can think of.

I don't think God always answers prayer, at least the way we think He will or should. But I'm sure He listens. Selfish prayers don't tend to be answered, for instance. But on the National Day of Prayer people are organizing to pray for good things. If God did nothing about it, still those people were galvanized toward positive results. But God is very positive, and desires the same good we do. So, I think, He goes to work on it.

Thoughts and emotions are things - they radiate out into the world.

Have you ever entered a room where someone was in a bad mood and you could feel it?

A Day of Prayer (if not praying to control others, just praying for general well being, peace, etc.) - then it will affect some towards that.

A Day of Blasphemy - depends on what you were planning. What would you want to produce by it?

National day of prayer for me should an everyday occurrence. Unfortunately the day of blasphemy wins out in America each and every day. Let us who believe, make every day a day of prayer and a commitment to humbling ourselves before God so that He will be blessed and others will come to know the One that came to save.

Do I still have to put coins in my Swear Jar on the National Day of Blasphemy?

Thanks for the info on "Ten Commandments Weekend," Damian. Will pass on to my Christian and Jewish friends.

Yes! The devil would have been praised if that were to happen. Please I would like to share this event with you:

Ten Commandments Weekend

Last year, Amazing Facts participated in The Ten Commandments Weekend, which highlighted the importance of God’s law and its continuing purpose in the lives of New Testament believers. The response was overwhelming!

So once again, Amazing Facts and Pastor Doug Batchelor are joining forces with 3ABN to reach souls who might not know the full stakes regarding God’s law in their lives. Says Pastor Doug, “We can now easily share the whole truth of the Ten Commandments with our Christian friends. We can show them that the patience of the saints is really about keeping all of God’s law, not just the ones we find convenient .”

Be sure to tune into 3ABN on Sabbath, May 5, at 8:00 p.m. (CT) to see Pastor Doug present a powerful message on the seventh commandment. And don’t miss the rest of the special event from May 5 to 6. (Click here for times, information, and other details.)

blasphemy is done by all religion towards Universal Truth, every second of each day...

Here's the Solution for the blasphemy of religion:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions

I might've participated.

I intentionally did not pray for 24 whole hours.

Do I have to blaspheme gods I believe in or will the Abrahamic god suffice?
