I don't know people are all so different, but one thing he doesn't do is beat her black and blue and that is abuse, that is the real meaning of abuse, he forgives her and he holds her anyway that he can, and he lets her go too. He gives her the freedom to submit or not, but he has enough control to make her submit when she doesn't want to and needs to for her own good at times, kind of like dealing with a wild filly I suppose?
