I live on the Huron River in Michigan and I catch a ton of 5 to 20lb. Carp.I would like to thin out the numbers a bit. Any suggestions? any Ideas on cooking them ? Burring them will cause a stench because there would be too many.Any Ideas would be appreciated. Thanx. KEEP FISHING!!!!!!!!!

I used to bowhunt carp and the local Laotion people would get everyone I shot and loved them , you might find some of them to give carp to.

Fish make good fertilizer maybe a farmer would like them to plow into his field or bury in a garden

Have fun catching them

Carp are fun to catch but eating them? Not me. Too much blood to deal with. They are very useful in the river though because they are the street cleaners...the garbage trucks...
I have heard (haven't tried it) that you can hang them head up and cut off the tail and let the blood drain out. Some people cook and can them same as salmon. I'll stay with catfish myself! I miss getting the smelt off Lake Huron . I don't think anything is better than fried smelt, bread and butter, and a cold drink.

catch them and have fun, once they are in a body of water its all over with/ i dont know if you know this but if you are catching gold carp that look like gigantic goldfish,.years ago people would use goldfish for bait.they originated by gold fish entering the water ways by getting off the hook, thus infestation.kids use to throw them in lakes and streams causing infestation.goldfish, great bait, but illeagle in most states due to thisproblem..beleive me youll never win

You need to cut out the mud line before you eat carp.

I would check the pollution guidlines before eating a bottom feeder!

Just throw them on the bank and the birds will get them. If you think it's too cruel then just bop them on the head. If you know a trapper then give them to him, he can use them as bait.
