Come on!! Get real, they either carry money that says that or none at all, it is one of the biggie gripes of the atheists, that 'God' is being forced on them, and having it on our money is just a another way of forcing the issue on them.
I think you are trying to pick a fight, and I don't like that one bit! I am a Christian, and I love all those that deny or hate God, because that is what I am instructed to do. I don't have it in me to love them, it is given to me of Him, who made every single one of us, crazy, evil, good, kind, whatever, those are what we become from what choices we make. Please leave the atheist alone, they have every right to be on the forum, and most of them are respectful. And those that are not, it is their problem, don't make it yours.

You would think that those who foudned and signed the original documents would have known better than to put " In God We Trust " on the money they printed and designed. I mean afterall, they knew about the 'seperation of church and state clause' didnt they? Oh, well of course, they must have, they were the ones that put it in. I guess they somehow forgot that was in there when they designed the money. And I guess they forgot about it when they used the Bibles as the main book to teach children in school how to read back in the day when America was being founded. And I guess someone forgot to tell congress that they couldnt appropriate money to help print bibles. Yeah, looks like the founders broke the constitution almost immediately. Arent you glad that those who interpret it today know more about the "intent" of the founding fathers than the founding fathers themselves?

I believe in God, but your question is really silly.
People can't choose what they want the money to say and everyone has to have money to pay the bills.

In God We Trust has only been our national motto since the fifties. Prior to that it was E Pluribus Unum (out of many, one). I think we should go back to the previous motto.

Because the government of the country I live in prints it that way and if I want to purchase goods and services I need the currency that is legal, and accepted by businesses in said country.
Anymore stupid questions?

Because the government doesn't give them a choice.
That's what the government prints on its money.
In short, it is the law. If you don't want to spend money with a religious slogan on it ... you don't get any money at all.
Welcome to Amerika ... land of the free.

I have been asking this forever... LOL,
You know, if one day they take In God We Trust off the money, it will not bring down the Christians.. We are rock solid in our faith so it won't hurt us..
Good question this morning, kudos...

It all spends the same. What's on it does not matter as long as it's legal. ...you have too much time on your hands. You might want to think about a more fulfilling hobby.

Since there is separation of church and state, the statement "In God we trust" is really saying "In Government we have no confidence"
