Believe it or not, but just about anything will work in a farm pond that has no real pressure. So, if there is something in your box that you want to try, tie it on! If that fails, nightcrawlers ALWAYS work.

I used a purple texas rigged worm in a farm pond in NE Ohio and caught an 8 pound bass and lost one bigger. It was about this time of year as well

When I can absolutely not get a Bass to strike? I pull out my secret weapon, There isn't a bass alive that won`t attack this lure with a vengeance, and I use live when they are locally available ( *careful handling is IMPT or invest in a good anti venom snake bite kit) or I use artificial when I cant get them live, a simple water moccasin the 6 to 9 inch ones ( live ) work best... It seems that the moccasin is the only thing that truly peeves a bass making them attack like a psycho..

Try an UN weighted Soft Plastic Jerk Bait. They look natural and make little noise entering the water which I find important in small bodies of water. GOOD LUCK and KEEP FISHING!!!
