For your coarse hair use a medium or hard brush. When brushing start from the crown and start going out in all directions towards the hair line. The front should be brushed forward, the back should be brushed down and the sides should be brushed in a slant. Brushing is what develops waves so you don't really need any products but the products do help. Because you don't want any chemical you can use an all natural moisturizer. There is a moisturizer from softee that is made of pure coconut oil. I prefer to use the Indian hemp from softee because it moisturizes real well and it gives a nice shine. That will help you with the waving process. There are also many types of pomades that will lay all of your hairs down and make your waves more visible and fresh looking. Just be sure to wear a durag after you put products in your hair and while you sleep to weigh your hair down and protect you pattern. You can also just use a method called "The H2O meth" where you spray your hair with water and brush it until it's dry. This should be repeated several times a day. Here's a link to a site full of people dedicated to waves: http://360waves.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3875

If you have any questions after reading the info on this link just ask your own question and experienced wavers will answer your question.

cut it down and brush everyday, same direction. Get a wavecap or what people call a doo rag and sleep in it every night. There is also a pomade that guys use too. It comes in an orange small can.

The trick is to brush then the wave cap.

1. you need to cut your low
2. then purchase a bottle of beeswax (for hair that is)
3. purchase a wave cape and a hair brush
4. every night before you go to bed paste the beeswax, brush you hair forward for about 10 mins, and then tie your hair with the wave cap.
